Course Overview
This class dives into a heavy 3D workflow for creating environment concepts. I use this workflow on a daily basis to create concept art, set designs and previs work for clients.
We will start by gathering references, sketching designs, and move into up-to-date 3D techniques from there.Students are going to learn how to model, texture, assemble and paintover full 3d scenes.
Along the way we will dive into fundamentals about design, lighting, composition and materials.

Each week's class will be comprised of live demos, feedback and paint-overs ranging from 4-5 hours.

Things you learn in this class
- Develop a strong understanding of composition, story, color and design for environments
- Strong understanding of 3D technical workflows utilizing tools such as Blender, Character Creator, Quixel, Octane Render and more
- Understanding of fundamentals such as shape, texture, lighting and how to translate them in 3D
- How to create highly detailed concept illustrations using 3D and paintover techniques
- Personalized advice for developing your Environment Design skills and portfolio
Pre-Requirement
- Basic understanding of art and digital painting / Sketching
- Basic understanding of Photoshop
- Basic understanding of 3D tools such as Blender
